Biker hit to death by dumper

LAHORE:A young motorcyclist was killed when a speeding dumper ran over him near Nadir Chowk, Gajjumata, on Tuesday.

The victim was identified as 22-year-old Haris, son of Irshad, a resident of Kahna. Eyewitnesses reported that the heavy vehicle was moving at high speed when it struck the motorcycle, causing fatal injuries to the rider. The driver of the dumper reportedly fled the scene. Body of the victim was transported to the morgue by an Edhi ambulance. Meanwhile, a 31-year old motorcyclist lost his life after his bike collided with a footpath near the Canal Road, Mughalpura Underpass. According to an Edhi Foundation spokesperson, the victim, identified as Salman Khalid, a resident of Chandian Harbanspura, died on the spot. Body was shifted to the morgue.

Man held for firing at transgender’s house

Shahdara police arrested a man for opening fire at the house of a transgender person late at night. According to police, the accused and his accomplices knocked at the door under the pretext of asking for water and matches. When the door was not opened, they opened fire and harassed the residents. A case was registered and one suspect was arrested.

Imposter, accomplice held

The Dolphin Force arrested a fake sub-inspector and his accomplice during a routine patrol in the North Cantonment area. The accused, Amir, falsely claimed to be a sub-inspector with Islamabad Police. Upon search, fake police and intelligence branch ID cards were recovered. Amir and his accomplice Danish were handed over to North Cantt Police.

Therapist held for robbing people

Hanjarwal Police arrested a massage therapist for drugging and robbing a citizen by serving him cold drink mixed with intoxicants. According to police, the accused identified as Sharif would offer massages and then make victims unconscious to steal valuables.

Abducted girl recovered; suspect held

Hanjarwal Investigation Police have recovered a four-year-old girl and arrested a female accused involved in her kidnapping. The accused had abducted ‘Z’ while she was playing outside her home.
