Shoddy testing
By News Desk
June 04, 2025
The Punjab government has increased the number of emission testing points for vehicles to 60 to accommodate the growing number of vehicles and reduce waiting times. However, I recently got stuck at one of these testing points while heading to the Packages Mall in Lahore. There were some 100 vehicles lined up and stuck in place.
Inquiries revealed that it was the ‘lunch break’, but no one knew how long this break would last. I tried calling the 1317 helpline but was kept on hold for over 45 minutes without any response. I hope the honourable chief minister takes notice of this shoddy situation.
