Karachi police chief reviews cattle market security arrangements
Additional Inspector General Javed Alam Odho on Monday visited cattle markets established within the jurisdictions of Gulshan-e-Maymar and Gadap City police stations to review security arrangements ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.
Deputy inspector general of police West, senior superintendent of police West, and other senior officers accompanied him during the visit. While inspecting the security measures, he directed the concerned officers to enhance coordination, tighten surveillance, and ensure effective security protocols to prevent criminal activity and maintain a peaceful environment for citizens.
He also visited the command and control room at the cattle market to inspect surveillance systems and other technical facilities. During his visit, he met with market administrators and discussed ongoing security efforts. Market organisers expressed satisfaction with the arrangements.Speaking on the occasion, the additional IG reiterated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the police's top priority.
