Four injured in Tirah ‘explosion’

BARA: Four persons, including four children, sustained injuries in an explosion in Maidan area in Tirah valley of Khyber district, local and official sources said on Saturday.

The sources said Shamshad Khan, wife and his four children were present at home when a quadcopter drone dropped munition on their house in Shalobar area in Tirah valley.

As a result, the woman and her four children were injured in the incident, sources said.

Soon after the incident, the local people reached the place and shifted the injured to the hospital at Bagh Markaz.

In another incident, a mortar shell fired by unknown people hit one Wahid Khan’s house in Bar Qambarkhel area in Tirah valley. Wahid Khan sustained injuries in the incident and was shifted to the local hospital, the sources said.
