As part of promotional campaign, film’s cast and director visited another major shopping mall in Karachi yesterday
KARACHI: Geo Films’ upcoming horror-drama Deemak is all set to hit cinemas nationwide this Eid-ul-Azha, and its star cast believes it will mark a turning point in Pakistani cinema.
Speaking exclusively to Geo News, lead actors Sonia Hussyn, Faisal Qureshi, and veteran artist Samina Peerzada described Deemak as a unique cinematic experience that blends modern technology, suspenseful storytelling, and full-fledged entertainment.
“The film is truly ‘paisa wasool’ for audiences of all ages,” they shared. Director Rafay Rashdi and Executive Producer Syed Murad Ali echoed the sentiment, adding that Deemak is far more than just a horror film. “It explores complex family relationships, social issues, and paranormal elements — all woven into a compelling narrative that sets it apart from conventional cinema,” they noted. The film’s trailer, recently released, has already generated significant buzz, drawing praise from critics and audiences alike, who predict Deemak could introduce a fresh trend to Pakistani filmmaking.
As part of the promotional campaign, the film’s cast and director visited another major shopping mall in Karachi yesterday.
The visit drew a massive crowd of enthusiastic fans, many of whom took selfies, autographs, and warmly welcomed the stars. Deemak is presented by Mandviwalla Entertainment and stars Faisal Qureshi and Sonia Hussyn in lead roles, alongside a powerhouse supporting cast that includes Samina Peerzada, Javed Sheikh, and Bushra Ansari. It is worth mentioning that Geo Films has previously delivered several cinematic gems such as Khuda Kay Liye, Bol, Teefa in Trouble, The Legend of Maula Jatt, The Donkey King, and The Glassworker. With Deemak, the studio is once again set to captivate audiences across Pakistan.
