QUETTA: Director General of the Balochistan Levies Force, Abdul Ghaffar Magsi, has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against corruption and bribery at checkpoints, suspending 62 personnel from 18 districts with immediate effect.
The suspended officers include Risaldars, Naib Risaldars, Daffadars, Havaldars, sepoys, and drivers. These individuals belong to the districts of Qila Abdullah, Pishin, Chaman, Kachhi, Khuzdar, Musakhel, Barkhan, Sherani, Loralai, Zhob, Sibi, Washuk, Chaghi, Jhal Magsi, Mastung, Surab, Panjgur, and Noshki.
The DG Levies stated clearly that strict action will be taken against those found guilty of corruption or negligence, asserting that there is no place for such elements in the force.
Dr Mir Wais Khan, Director (Admin/Finance), has been appointed as the inquiry officer to investigate the suspended personnel, with a report expected within 15 days.
The DG also instructed all personnel to carry out their professional duties with honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility, warning that failure to do so will result in strict disciplinary action.
