Sports are very important for students’ physical and mental growth. Unfortunately, most schools in Sindh do not prioritise sports. Many institutions lack proper playgrounds, sports equipment and trained coaches, discouraging students from participating in physical activities. This neglect not only affects children’s fitness but also deprives them of essential skills like teamwork, discipline and leadership.
Studies show that students who play sports perform better academically, yet schools in Sindh rarely encourage such activities. The government and educational authorities must take urgent steps to promote sports by providing facilities and organising competitions.
