11 officers promoted to BS-21, 36 to BS-20

ISLAMABAD: The Establishment Division has issued notifications for the promotion of eleven officers of BS-20 and 36 officers of BS-19 belonging to the Secretariat Group.
The Central Selection Board, which met from March 11 to 14 under the chairmanship of the FPSC Chairman, had recommended the promotion of the 47 officers of the Secretariat Group. Ijaz Ahmed Mahesar has been promoted to BS-21 and posted as Senior Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce; Irfan Aman Yousafzai has been promoted to BS-21 and appointed Senior Joint Secretary, National Food Security and Research Division; Muhammad Saeed Ashraf Siddiqui promoted as Senior Joint Secretary Economic Affairs Division; Ghulam Farooq promoted to Senior Joint Secretary, Water Resources; Salman Qayyum Khan promoted to Senior Joint Secretary, Cabinet Division. Muhammad Ijaz Ghani has been promoted to Senior Joint Secretary, Ministry of Law and Justice; Ms. Marvi Qadir Dukhan promoted to Senior Joint Secretary, Revenue Division; Miran Mohiuddin Soomro promoted to Senior Joint Secretary, Economic Affairs Division; Rehan Saleem promoted to Senior Joint Secretary, Finance Division (Military Finance Wing); Ayesha Zareen Siddiqui promoted to Senior Joint Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office (Public); Miss Sajal Tauseef Khan promoted to continue on deputation to the National School of Public Policy.
Among the 36 officers who have been promoted from BS-19 to BS-20 are: Muhammad Khalid promoted to Joint Secretary Finance Division; Akhlaq Ahmed Qureshi Joint Secretary Interior and Narcotics Control; Naveed Khalid Joint Secretary, Foreign Affairs; Waqar Ahmed Pal Joint Secretary, Defence; Tahir Mahmood Khokhar has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Council of Common Interests Secretariat; Imtiaz Yusuf appointed Joint Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office (Public); Sajid Manzoor Asadi appointed Joint Secretary, Economic Affairs.

Shahbaz Mustafa posted on deputation to NDMA; Tahir Mahmood Qureshi Joint Secretary Cabinet Division; Muhammad Rafiq appointed Joint Secretary Interior and Narcotics Control Division; Rashid Noor has been promoted but has now retired.

Chaudhry Mumtaz Ahmed has been appointed Joint Secretary Industries and Production; Muhammad Zahid Mustafa Joint Secretary Climate Change; Imran Rashid Joint Secretary Planning and Development; Syed Tauqir Hussain Shah Joint Secretary Establishment Division; Akhtar Saeed Joint Secretary Establishment Division; Khizar Saleem Joint Secretary Interior and Narcotics Control; Sajid Mahmood Joint Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office; Amir Muhammad Khan Niazi Joint Secretary, Power Division; Muhammad Naseem Javed Joint Secretary, Power Division; Muhammad Ishaq Joint Secretary, Establishment Division; Muhammad Nasir Khan Joint Secretary, Power Division; Khan Hafeez has been promoted but has now retired.
Javed Iqbal has been promoted to Joint Secretary, Defence; Rashid Ali Zuberi was appointed Joint Secretary, Finance Division; Munawar Hussain Joint Secretary, Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, and Niyaz Muhammad Joint Secretary, Interior and Narcotics Control.
