Rawalpindi to have 8 cattle markets
Rawalpindi: Eight places have been reserved for livestock markets in Rawalpindi for Eidul Azha. On the instructions of Commissioner Rawalpindi Engineer Amir Khattak, a ban has been imposed on the sale of animals at unauthorised places. Markets have been established at 3 places in Rawalpindi Tehsil: Bhatta Chowk, Chakri Road and Kallar Syedan Road.
Markets will be established at Galiana Road, near Slaughter House in Gujar Khan Tehsil, Sharif Hospital Stop GT Road and Timber Market Road in Taxila. Similarly, a market will be set up on Mangal Bypass in Kallar Syedan Tehsil and on Chan Shah Jalyar, Tangi Road in Kahuta Tehsil. Provision of disinfectant spray, cleanliness, fire brigade and other facilities is being ensured in all markets, while the traffic police has been instructed to prepare an effective traffic plan around the markets.
