Bilawal meets PM to discuss global advocacy for Pak position

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss strategies for effectively projecting Pakistan’s stance in international capitals.

Bilawal, who led a PPP delegation, was accompanied by Senator Sherry Rehman and former federal minister Hina Rabbani Khar. During the meeting, he sought the prime minister’s guidance on how best to highlight Pakistan’s perspective, particularly in countering Indian aggression and its provocative agenda on the global stage.

Expressing gratitude for the PM’s trust, Bilawal thanked him for assigning him a key diplomatic role and for entrusting him with leading Pakistan’s delegation in upcoming international engagements.

PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed confidence in Bilawal’s leadership and assured full support, stating that the delegation would effectively advocate Pakistan’s narrative with clarity and conviction.

Also present at the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Climate Change Musadik Malik, Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.

On May 17, Pakistan decided to launch a global diplomatic campaign in response to the Indian propaganda. As part of the initiative, PM Shehbaz Sharif tasked a delegation, led by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, to represent Pakistan’s peace-oriented stance internationally amid escalating tensions with India.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar met members of high-level delegations designated to present Pakistan’s stance across foreign capitals.

The DPM/FM outlined Islamabad’s diplomatic priorities and hoped that the delegation would effectively highlight Pakistan’s perspective and promote Pakistan’s message of peace abroad.
