PESHAWAR: The patrolling cars of the capital city police were handed over first aid kits to help people in case of any emergency and save lives.

Senior Superintendent of Police, operations, Masood Ahmed Bangash handed over the first aid boxes to the drivers of various police stations to be kept in their official mobile vehicles.Earlier, a one-day training was imparted to the police personnel at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Line regarding the use of first aid in case of any accident or emergency.

The personnel were trained to carry life-saving medicines during any emergency, safely shift people to the hospital and provide them with first aid on the way.It should be noted that all police stations of Peshawar will be given first aid boxes of life-saving medicines to police personnel and other citizens in case of any emergency. The same was done by a former police administration after a detained accused died of a heart attack in lock up some years ago. However, the practice was stopped later.
