QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court on Thursday dismissed the constitutional petitions seeking the release of Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) leaders including Mahrang Baloch under Section 3 Maintenance of Public Order (3-MPO) law.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Ijaz Swati and Justice Aamir Rana announced the verdict, which had been reserved ten days earlier. The court upheld the government’s decision to detain the BYC leaders under 3-MPO, rejecting the appeals filed by the petitioners.
