CM Summer Games preparations reviewed
LAHORE:The preparations of Chief Minister Punjab Summer Games and Summer Sports Camps were reviewed in a meeting chaired by DG Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry at National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.
Director Admin Dr M Kaleem, Director Sports Rana Nadeem Anjum, Chief Sports Consultant Hafeez Bhatti and Assistant Director Raees ur Rehman attended the meeting in person while sports officers from all divisions participated through video link.
Addressing the meeting, Khizar Afzaal said that Sports Board Punjab is making effective efforts for smooth holding of Chief Minister Punjab Summer Games and in this regard the sports officers of the province have been assigned different responsibilities. “All divisional sports officers of the province will monitor the proceedings of Chief Minister Punjab Summer Games to ensure transparency in the mega event”.
He further said that the competitions of four games – kabaddi, volleyball, badminton and hockey – will be organised from tehsil to division level in the Chief Minister Punjab Summer Games. “The division level competitions of CM Summer Games will be organised in the provincial capital after Eid-ul-Azha”. DG Sports Punjab said that Sports Board Punjab will also organise Summer Sports Camps to improve the game skills of the talented athletes during the summer vacations.
