JI condemns Khuzdar bus attack
LAHORE:Jamaat-e-Islami emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a school bus in Khuzdar, Balochistan, calling it an act of cowardice and brutality.
In a statement issued from Mansoorah on Wednesday, he prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks, patience for the bereaved families, and speedy recovery for the injured. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that targeting innocent children is the worst form of terrorism and reflects the depths of inhumanity. He stressed that ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives, property, and dignity is the core responsibility of the government. He urged both the federal and Balochistan provincial governments to take immediate and effective measures to restore security.
Expressing concern over the rising wave of terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he said that every Pakistani is distressed by the worsening situation. "Peace must be the government’s top priority, as economic development is impossible without security," he added. The JI chief said that India's intelligence agency RAW, along with anti-Islam and anti-Pakistan elements, is involved in these acts of terrorism. He demanded that the government expose and take strict action against those behind the school bus attack and their facilitators.
Calling for meaningful dialogue between Islamabad and Kabul, Rehman emphasised that the use of Afghan soil for terrorist activities in Pakistan is unacceptable. He also highlighted the longstanding grievances of the people of Balochistan and called on the government to address their deprivations and ensure the provision of their legitimate rights.
