CHITRAL: A suspected militant was killed in an exchange of fire with the Levies Force in the Bashqar Gol in Soor Laspur valley in Upper Chitral on Tuesday.

The sources said another militant managed to escape and search for his arrest was going on.The sources said the incident occurred after residents reported the presence of two armed men to the Laspur Levies post. Upon receiving the tip-off, the Chitral Levies personnel promptly moved to the area.As soon as the Levies reached the location, the sources said, the suspects opened fire on the security team. In the ensuing gunfight, one of the suspected militants was killed.
