Two ‘snatchers’ killed in Mardan
MARDAN: Two alleged snatchers were killed in an alleged encounter with the police in the limits of City Police Station, police and local sources said on Tuesday.The sources said that acting on a tip-off, a police party challenged the snatchers riding on motorbike on Charsadda Road. The snatchers, the sources said, allegedly opened fire on police.
The police retaliated and the snatchers were killed in the ensuing exchange of fire.
The sources added that a passerby identified as Wasif, a resident of Arbai Killay, was also killed in the firing incident. The sources added that one of the snatchers wasidentified as Ali Bahadur, a resident of Naguman, Peshawar. The bodies were shifted to hospital for medico-legal procedure.However, the police haven’t registered the first information report of the incident.
