In the past few months the prime minister and many other government officials have announced a reduction in electricity prices. But, based on my experience, there has been no noticeable decline in what people have to pay for power once the bill is due.
Each announcement gives hope to citizens that they will get some relief when it comes to their monthly electricity costs, but the dream is always broken come the end of the month. This leads to anger and animosity among the people.
