Governor inquires after injured soldiers at CMH Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori on Sunday inquired after injured soldiers undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Cantonment Saddar, Hyderabad.
The soldiers were wounded in recent hostilities between Pakistan and India. The governor was accompanied by Hyderabad Commissioner Bilal Ahmed Memon and representatives of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan.
Speaking to the media, Tessori commended the courage and resilience of the wounded personnel. “I saw something remarkable today; the face of an Air Force soldier who had undergone two surgeries was glowing with pride. Their spirit remains unshaken, and they regret nothing except not attaining martyrdom,” he remarked.
The governor shared that five soldiers were currently receiving treatment at the CMH. He lauded the Pakistani armed forces for their robust response to the Indian aggression under the operation Bunyanum Marsoos led by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir.
“We salute our brave soldiers, generals, lieutenants and colonels who marched into battle with the spirit of martyrdom in their hearts,” the governor said as he expressing pride in the armed forces and their families.
Criticising India's actions, the governor remarked, “As our forces responded strongly, India will now think twice before committing such aggression again. Modi’s extremist ideology, echoing Israel’s, was behind this planned nighttime attack. But Pakistan responded with unity, dignity, and strength.”
He further noted that this incident was part of a broader pattern of attacks such as terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “We’ve sacrificed over 80,000 lives in the war on terror and still, we are being targeted. But our courage remains unbroken,” he said.
