RAWALPINDI: Mercury is likely to touch 106 Fahrenheit, the hottest summer day, Sunday (today), as Multan Sultans are to face Quetta Gladiators in a day game of the PSL X at the Rawalpindi Stadium.
Multan are already out of contention courtesy of their worst ever show in the League so far, while the team of the season X so far, Quetta, have already ensured a place among the top two finishers.
The match will possibly be remembered more for the PSL management decision to organize it under the scorching day heat with mercury touching 106 Fahrenheit, with the feel of over 112 F in the middle at around 3 pm.
The match that was originally planned in Multan was shifted to Rawalpindi following the schedule reshuffle.
But in Rawalpindi, the day game posed tougher challenges.
Barring a few hundred fans, the majority would prefer skipping the day match, leaving it to the on-field cricketers to get the taste of extreme heat.
The crowd, however, is expected to gather in numbers on Sunday afternoon to see Zalmi playing against Lahore Qalandars in what is expected to be a cracker of a match.
