Portuguese guitarist due on 23rd
Islamabad:Noted Portuguese classical guitarist and composer Pedro Jóia will be visiting Pakistan from May 23 to 28 at the invitation of the Embassy of Portugal in Islamabad.
Jóia will take part in the 2025 International Jazz Festival, with scheduled performances at the Islamabad Silk Road Culture Centre on May 23 and the Lahore Alhamra Art Centre on May 25, according to the embassy.
Beyond his headline performances, Jóia will also host special recitals, jam sessions, masterclasses and engage with local media during his stay in both cities. A celebrated figure in the world of music, Jóia has collaborated with prominent orchestras and chamber ensembles internationally and is a recipient of the Carlos Paredes Prize, a major accolade in Portuguese music.
