ASF observes Thanksgiving Day

KARACHI: Various events were organised at the Airports Security Force Headquarters and all units on the occasion of Thanksgiving Day with great enthusiasm, devotion, and in the spirit of national unity.

Gratitude was paid to Allah for Pakistan’s glorious military achievements, and tributes were paid to the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs. The day began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and congregational prayers in mosques located in all units of the ASF, expressing gratitude for the security, stability, and successes against the enemy of the homeland.

The main ceremony was held at the ASF Headquarters in Karachi. The ceremony began with the salute to the National Flag, and the Guard of Honour contingent of ASF saluted the Flag. The Director General ASF laid a wreath at the memorial and prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs.

DG ASF Major General Adnan Asif Jahshadal-ul-Imtiaz (Military), while expressing solidarity with the Pakistan Forces and paying tribute to their sacrifices, said that in the war, the forces stood like a bastion against the enemy of Pakistan, and the world recognised the operational prowess of the Pakistan forces. He reiterated whenever it comes to the country’s defense and survival, the entire nation will stand by Pakistan’s forces. The Director General ASF also appreciated the jawans and officers of the ASF for performing their duties diligently at the airports during the war and said that the ASF salutes the greatness of the martyrs of all the forces of Pakistan, especially the martyrs of the Pakistan Army.
