Provincial phase of CM Summer Games after Eid

LAHORE:The provincial phase of the Chief Minister Punjab Summer Games will be organised at Lahore after Eid ul Azha. DG Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry shared this information while chairing a meeting at the National Hockey Stadium on Friday.

The meeting which was convened to review the preparations of CM Punjab Summer Games, was attended by Director Admin Dr M Kaleem, Director Sports Rana Nadeem Anjum and other officials.

Addressing the meeting, DG Sports Punjab Khizar Afzaal said that the Inter-Tehsil and Inter-District level competitions of Chief Minister Punjab Summer Games will start soon across the province. “All the divisional and district sports officers of Punjab must be seen in grounds daily supervising sports activities”.

He further said that Chief Minister Punjab Summer Games have great significance for the development of sports among the youth. “We are quite determined that several fresh talented athletes will emerge from the platform of CM Punjab Summer Games. These budding players will be given sufficient opportunities to represent Punjab in the next National Games”.

Khizar Afzaal said that the performance of all sports officers will also be monitored across the province. “Provincial sports officers and coaches can play a vital role in tracing potential male and female athletes from far flung areas of the province”.
