Revenue official caught while accepting bribe
PESHAWAR: In a targeted activity supervised by the Circle Officer Nowshera of Anti-Corruption Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a patwari and munshi were apprehended red-handed while accepting a bribe for land transfer.
According to details, a team of the Anti-Corruption had initiated a trap activity following complaints about bribery by Patwari Abdul Jabbar and Munshi Sharfat regarding a land transfer case.
During the activity, the Anti-Corruption team, in the presence of a magistrate, arrested the personnel immediately as they accepted the demanded cash, said an official communique. The entire bribe amount was recovered on the spot. Officials confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against the accused, who have been handed over for legal proceedings.
