Dr Sajid given additional charge of EPTB chairman
This additional charge has been given for three months or until regular appointment to same position
ISLAMABAD: The federal government has given the additional charge of chairman of Evacuee Property Trust Board (EPTB) to Dr. Sajid Mahmood Chauhan, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Grade 20 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service.
This additional charge has been given for three months or until regular appointment to the same position. With the approval of the federal cabinet, the Establishment Division has issued a formal notification to give Chauhan the additional charge.
The post of EPTB chairman was vacated by the current Secretary Religious Affairs Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman after he was promoted to Grade 22 and took charge as Federal Secretary. Due to the vacant post of EPTB chairman, hundreds of appeals from people across the country are pending, which only the chairman is authorized to hear.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Religious Affairs has invited applications for the appointment of a regular chairman, after which interviews of candidates will be conducted.
