Fazl greets nation
PESHAWAR: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has attributed Pakistan’s success against naked Indian aggression to divine support and national steadfastness as he lauded the resilience and unity demonstrated by the nation.
Addressing party’s office bearers at a function here on Saturday, he congratulated the entire nation, its political leadership and the Pakistan armed forces for their collective role in defending the country and inflicting a humiliating defeat on the enemy. “It was Allah’s help and the unshakable resolve of the people that led Pakistan to emerge victorious during this difficult time,” he said.
He also offered prayers for the innocent civilians who lost their lives during the recent hostilities, expressing hope that their sacrifices would be accepted by the Almighty Allah.
The JUIF chief condemned what he described as a joint Indian-Israeli conspiracy to destabilise the region and said that the scheme had failed due to Pakistan’s strong defense and the unity of its leadership and people.
“The strength of our defense was backed by national consensus and political solidarity, which compelled the enemy to retreat,” he added.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman also expressed gratitude to friendly nations, particularly Saudi Arabia, for their positive role and support during the conflict. He prayed for the continued safety of Pakistan and sought divine protection for the country against the evil designs of the enemy.
