Balochistan Assembly passes resolution condemning Indian attack
House pays tribute to Pakistan armed forces for delivering immediate response to India’s cowardly aggression
QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution condemning India’s recent grave human rights violations and unprovoked attacks on civilian areas, aimed at exposing India’s dangerous intentions and malicious actions to the world.
During Wednesday’s session of the Balochistan Assembly, Chief Minister and Leader of the House Sarfraz Bugti presented the resolution.
The chief minister stated that the House strongly condemns India’s blatant violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and airspace. “Under the cover of darkness last night, India carried out cowardly and unprovoked attacks on various locations in the country — including mosques in Muridke, Ahmedpur East, Muzaffarabad, and Kotli (Kotli Loharan), and a dispensary near Shakargarh. As a result, several innocent, unarmed Pakistani civilians were martyred and injured,” he said.
The resolution stressed that India’s actions were a deliberate, nefarious attempt to divert attention from its internal political crises and extremist narrative by escalating regional tensions. It declared that these acts were a clear violation of international law, the UN Charter, and bilateral agreements. It further described the attack as part of a conspiracy to undermine regional peace and destabilise Pakistan.
The House paid tribute to the Pakistan armed forces for delivering an immediate, full, and robust response to India’s cowardly and brutal aggression. The assembly and the people of Balochistan reaffirmed their unwavering support for Pakistan’s armed forces and pledged readiness to make every sacrifice to defend every inch of the motherland.
In light of these events, the House demanded that the federal government immediately present evidence of India’s grave human rights violations and unprovoked attacks on civilian areas to the United Nations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the international community, to expose India’s malicious designs.
Speaking on the resolution, Provincial Minister Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran condemned India’s aggression, describing India as a terrorist state, with evidence of its activists present in Balochistan. He declared that India’s dream of eliminating Pakistan would never be realised and praised the Pakistan Army’s effective response.
Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman emphasised that the brave Pakistani nation is fully capable of defending the country, stressing the need for unity and solidarity. He noted that his party has always stood against India and that Jamaat-e-Islami leaders have consistently been at the forefront of the Kashmir cause. “India is nothing if we unite,” he added.
PPP MPA Ali Madad Jattak remarked that Pakistan had shot down India’s modern Rafale jets inside Indian territory, calling it a strong message to India.
Zarak Mandokhail of PMLN condemned India’s attacks on mosques and civilians, stressing that Pakistan had so far only defended itself, warning that retaliation had yet to come.
Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar condemned India’s attacks on mosques and said Pakistan’s military response had caused panic in India.
PAC Chairman Asghar Ali Tareen alleged that India was acting with Israel’s support, urging Muslim unity and warning that Pakistanis are an honorable and proud people. Lawmakers Shahid Rauf, Ashok Kumar, Hadiya Nawaz, Khair Jan Baloch, Mir Zabid Ali Reki, Ravi Kumar, Noor Muhammad Dummar, Rubaba Buledi, Meena Majeed, Liaquat Lehri, Samad Gorgij, Syed Zafar Agha, and Ghulam Dastagir Badini also spoke on the matter. The House unanimously passed the joint condemnation resolution.
