Ministers inspect uplift schemes
LAHORE:Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafiq visited different areas of Data Ganj Bakhsh Town and inspected the completed schemes here on Wednesday.
Housing Minister Bilal Yasin, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Zeeshan Malik, LDA Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed, Local Government Secretary Shakeel Ahmed Mian, Deputy Commissioner Musa Raza and Wasa MD Ghufran Ahmed were also accompanied him.
During their visit, the provincial ministers inspected Johri Park, Ahmed Chowk and Hajjan Street in Sant Nagar. Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafiq also took feedback from the local residents.
The citizens expressed great happiness over the construction of beautiful and durable streets and a new sewage system in their area saying that these areas, which were neglected for the past many years, have now been given full attention by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, for which they are grateful to her.
On this occasion, the citizens also raised slogans of 'Maryam Nawaz Zindabad'. Convener of the Steering Committee of the Lahore Development Programme, Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafiq, while issuing necessary instructions to the Deputy Commissioner and MD for further improvement, said that a mega project for the development of backward areas of Lahore has started.
