Committee formed to review rules for houses allotment
Ministry of Housing and Works had sent draft to PM for approval, some amendments have been proposed in existing rules
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has formed a committee to review the draft of Accommodation Allocation Rules 2025 for allotment of government houses.
The Ministry of Housing and Works had sent the draft to PM for approval. Some amendments have been proposed in the existing rules.
The committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Secretary Cabinet Division Kamran Ali Afzal. It includes Secretary Law and Justice and Additional Secretary Finance (Expenditure) Division as members. The TORs of the committee have also been issued.
The committee will review the issues, including clarification of eligibility for allotment of official residence, procedural requirements for affidavit and declaration and hiring and self-hiring of private residences. Determination and management of rental ceiling will also be reviewed.
The committee will submit its recommendations to prime minister within two weeks.
