IGP meets cops’ families

LAHORE : The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Punjab, Tuesday met with police personnel and their families at the Central Police Office and forwarded their relief cases to relevant authorities. According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, the IGP directed relevant officers to process promotion and financial assistance requests of stenographer Zahid Mahmood, Inspector Hafiz Mumtaz Ali, Sub-Inspectors Mujahid Hussain, Waheed Ashraf, and Muhammad Safdar Aslam.

Martyred SSP paid tribute

On the 28th martyrdom anniversary of SSP Ashraf Marth, IGP Punjab paid glowing tribute, calling him a symbol of bravery and dedication. 'Officers like SSP Ashraf Marth are the pride of Punjab Police,' he stated, highlighting Marth's exceptional leadership and service record. According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, SSP Ashraf Marth was martyred on May 6, 1997, when unidentified attackers shot him in Gujranwala.

CCPO reviews police performance

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana Tuesday reviewed performance of Iqbal Town and Sadar divisions at his office. The CCPO expressed satisfaction over crime reduction and emphasised maintaining strong coordination with the Crime Control Department to curb criminal activities.
