Training gets underway for SBBWU staff

PESHAWAR: The opening ceremony of the four-week National Outreach Programme by the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) under the Higher Education Commission (HEC) was arranged at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University (SBBWU), Peshawar.

Muhammad Saleem Qamar, Deputy Director, NAHE, was the chief guest, said a press release.

He shared the programme’s scope and importance in building academic capacity, encouraging institutional networking, promoting creativity, and advancing the professional competencies of early-career faculty.

SBBWU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Safia Ahmed welcomed the participants and spoke on the crucial

role of faculty training in enhancing the quality of teaching. Dr Nargis Jamila, the training coordinator, outlined the initiative’s structure.

The training programme includes 30 participants: lecturers and assistant professors from diverse academic disciplines, all committed to enhancing their teaching and leadership skills.
