Allegations against minister, supporters rejected
LANDIKOTAL: The supporters of a provincial minister on Monday rejected the allegations levelled by elders of the Merikhel tribe and termed them baseless and fabricated.
The minister’s supporters, including Maulana Taj Ali Shah Afridi, Javed Afridi, Haji Masam, Kitab Shah, Azmat Sher, Imtihan Shah and others, said that the accusations related to the alleged relocation of a water supply scheme were completely unfounded and aimed at damaging his reputation.They said that their opponents had levelled baseless allegations against provincial minister Adnan Qadri as the tube-well was installed with the consent of all stakeholders in their village.
Maulana Taj Ali explained that due to a severe shortage of clean drinking water in the area, he approached Allama Noorul Haq Qadri with a request. The scheme, he added, was later got approved through provincial Minister Adnan Qadri.Maulana Taj Ali said the tube-well project was initiated after fulfilling all legal requirements, conducting a feasibility survey and securing the consent of the residents.
