Junaid says only Imran can steer country out of crises
"You threaten us with videos and files but there are now no videos or files," says Junaid Akbar
HANGU: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf provincial president Junaid Akbar on Sunday that the PTI founder was the only leader who can steer the country out of the prevailing crises.
Addressing the Workers’ Convention here, Junaid Akbar said that only Imran Khan’s return could fill the political leadership void created due to his incarceration and bring the country back to the path of development and prosperity.
Junaid Akbar said, “You threaten us with videos and files but there are now no videos or files. We respect you, but we’re not afraid of you. We believe in the lessons taught us in Pakistan Studies.”
He said that his party leaders bore immense oppression and persecution at the hands of the ruler but they never resorted to violence and remained peaceful.
He said the new generation had studied Imran Khan’s ideology and now follow its letter and spirit, knowing what to do next.
The PTI leader also talked about the wide gap between the people and the incumbent rulers and said that, “This distance will only close when Imran Khan returns. You label us traitors and terrorists, but our loyalty and decisions begin and end with Imran Khan.”
He urged that only those should come forward, who were devoted to Imran Khan, not those seeking power or office. “Pakistan is our homeland, we will live and die here. Others will earn and flee abroad. Everyone here is standing for Imran Khan,” he remarked.
Junaid Akbar said that PTI workers were united and this time they were fully prepared to face bullets or go to prison.
PTI leaders including Yousaf Khan, Abu Shah Turab Khan and others also spoke on the occasion.
