24 teams to participate in Bajaur cricket tourney

KHAR: The organisers on Sunday said that a total of 24 teams would participate in the upcoming cricket tournament to be held at the Bajaur Sports Complex from May 20.

Speaking at a press conference, office-bearers of the CVN, a non-governmental organisation, including Attaullah Khan, Amir Rehman, Ikram Khan, Abdul Wahab and others said that the teams registration would be started on May 7, where 24 teams had expressed the desire to take part in the sports gala.

They said that the primary aim of the tournament was to promote sports in the region and to highlight the welfare activities of the organisation.The speakers said that the tournament would be free from any political affiliations and all cricket teams from Bajaur will be allowed to register.They said that this tournament would be an important step toward encouraging positive activities among the youth.
