Five terrorists killed, two arrested in 3 KP operations
An intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted by security forces in Bajaur district
RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed five khwarij, while two others were arrested during three different operations in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province.
On April 30 and May 1, five khwarij were sent to hell, while two were apprehended during three separate operations in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
An intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted by the security forces in Bajaur district, on reported presence of khwarij. During the conduct of operation, troops effectively engaged khwarij location and, after an intense fire exchange, three khwarij, including high-value target (HVT) Kharji Fareedullah, were sent to hell.
Another IBO was conducted in general area Dossali, North Waziristan district. In ensuing fire exchange, two khwarij were killed by the security forces.
In the third encounter, which took place in Mohmand district, security forces successfully busted a kharji hideout and apprehended two khwarij, including high-value target Kharji Lal Ameer alias Ibrahim.
Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities.
