‘Investigation Wing key to quick justice’
LAHORE : The role of the Investigation Wing of police department has become more important than ever to build trust between the public and the police.
This was stated by SSP Investigation Lahore M Naveed during a special session with NVTT held here in Lahore on Saturday. The members of the think tank were of the opinion that restoration of people's confidence on police is of absolute vital importance for peace and security in the country. "The police's functioning has to be made centralised at the federal level to get optimum results," they added. Naveed said that the Investigation Wing of the police has to be strengthened to deliver quick justice to the people in the rapidly changing circumstances to improve police's image in the eyes of the public. Those who attended the meeting included Bilal Butt, Ishaq Gujjar, M Ramzan, businessmen Sheikh Ibrahim, Adil Munir, Jamshed Khan and M Amir.
