Restore order

The situation has deteriorated drastically over the past few years in Karachi’s Pakistan Bazar area. The road is now overrun by vendor carts and makeshift stalls. Permanent parking of vehicles in the middle of the road has further squeezed what little space remains and completely choked the flow of traffic. As a result, no public transport and even ambulance can operate on this route anymore.
The road has become a hub of organized disorder and the people suffer silently. It is high time that the municipal administration and law enforcement agencies take meaningful action to clear the encroachments, restore public transport routes and reclaim the road for the people it was meant to serve.
