Illegal structures

It is a matter of grave concern that numerous illegal construction projects are being carried out across Karachi without the official approval of building maps. In some cases, those involved appear to have bribed the local authorities. As a result, public infrastructure is burdened, safety regulations are bypassed and urban planning is being systematically destroyed.
It is vital to establish a dedicated public complaint desk, enforce the building bylaws and put an end to the misuse of authority by certain officials. Strict implementation of building and town planning regulations is essential to restore public trust and safeguard the urban fabric of Karachi.
