Drug dealer shoots himself, holds father-in-law responsible
LAHORE: A drug peddler allegedly shot himself in the leg and accused his father-in-law of the attacking him in Lahore's Misri Shah. The suspect, identified as Waqar, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and was shifted to hospital. According to police spokesperson, Waqar initially claimed his father-in-law was responsible for the shooting. However, investigators found his account suspicious. ‘Waqar has a documented history of drug peddling and a registered domestic violence case filed by his wife,’ the spokesperson revealed. The circumstances suggest this may have been a staged incident. Forensic teams have examined the scene while Waqar remains under medical supervision. Authorities are investigating multiple angles, including whether this was an attempt to falsely implicate family members or avoid pending legal consequences related to his criminal record.
