Removal of ADP schemes: Hearing into ex-CM petition adjourned
PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of a petition filed by former chief minister Mahmood Khan, challenging the exclusion of development schemes from his constituency in the Annual Development Programme (ADP).
A two-member bench comprising Justice Ijaz Anwar and Justice Dr Khurshid Iqbal heard the case.Representing the petitioner, Sultan Muhammad Khan informed the court that Mahmood Khan, who now belonged to the opposition, had his constituency’s development schemes removed from the ADP after the change in his political alignment. He argued that the exclusion was politically motivated. The court had earlier sought replies from the concerned parties.
During the proceedings, Additional Advocate General Muhammad Inam Yousafzai informed the bench that the provincial government had submitted its response and the document was available on record.
