Religious, social, and political figures, journalists, members of the business community, children, and police officials and personnel were in attendance. The rally, organized on the directives of Regional Police Officer Kohat, Abbas Majeed Marwat, began from Kohat Press Club and proceeded to Kachehri Chowk.
Participants chanted slogans against India’s threats and voiced strong support for the Pakistan Army.Addressing the rally, SP Operations City, Farooq Rehman said: “India may satisfy its desire to attack, but like before, the Pakistan armed forces and the nation are fully prepared to face every front.”
Other police officials and speakers condemned the Pahalgam incident, stating that the Pakistani nation stood by oppressed people and Muslims around the world.Journalists Saeed Orakzai and Muhammad Jameel emphasized that the Pakistani people, especially the Pakhtuns, stood shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces and were fully prepared for any conflict.
Syed Yasir Shah, another journalist, said: “Journalists, citizens, and police are ready to lay down their lives for Pakistan. What war will India fight when Pakistanis are already in ranks, prepared for martyrdom?”The speakers said India wanted to exploit the Pahalgam incident as a pretext to cut off Pakistan’s water supply, which was made evident by suspending the Indus Waters Treaty.
