Iran’s decision to prioritise diplomacy over military confrontation with the United States is undoubtedly a wise choice. Under President Donald Trump, the US has adopted an increasingly aggressive stance towards Iran, seemingly looking for any reason to escalate tensions. Now, with his domestic agenda unraveling, there are concerns that he may turn to foreign conflicts to distract from his administration’s economic failures.
