‘Punjab Socio-Economic Registry Survey begins in Hafizabad’

HAFIZABAD: Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razzaq has said that the Punjab government has launched the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry Survey in Hafizabad.

The Punjab Socio-Economic Registry teams would go door to door to register all individuals and families so that the Punjab government can provide financial assistance, facilities and other incentives to deserving families without any discrimination on merit and in a transparent manner. In this connection, a ceremony was held at the District Complex in which P&D Member Khawar Kamal, Punjab Statistics Director General Sajid Rasool, GIS Survey Urban Unit General Manager Urooj Saeed, PMLN leader Chaudhry Tahoor Hussain Tarar and other officers and members of the survey teams were present.

Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razzaq said that the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry Survey was an exemplary programme. He told that the programme had not been started in any province of the country for the welfare of the people for provision of financial assistance and other facilities. Under the programme, survey teams would complete the survey and registration work by going door to door in all urban and rural areas of the district so that in the coming times, government incentives and other financial assistance from the Punjab government can reach all deserving families in a merit-based and transparent manner. He said that just as the Punjab government had launched programmes for farmers and landowners, including Ramazan Package, Himmat Card, Apni Chat Apni Ghar Programme, Minority Cards, Solarization Scheme and Easy Business Scheme, this programme was also launched for the welfare of the people.

RALLY: The district administration organised a seminar at Jinnah Public Hall and later a rally to express solidarity with the armed forces against Indian aggression.Additional Deputy Commissioner General Hamdullah, Assistant Commissioner Salman Akbar, local Ulema, press club president Chaudhry Javed Asad, DBA president Muhammad Usman Afzal and others participated in the rally.

Addressing the seminar and rally, the speakers said that the entire nation was standing with the Pakistani armed forces. They said that the Pakistani nation would not accept water terrorism of India.
