LAHORE:A major recruitment scandal came to light during the ongoing process of hiring in the Punjab Police, as the Special Protection Unit (SPU) arrested 17 individuals—including a former police officer and a female candidate—for attempting to cheat using digital devices.
A case was registered against the accused at Kahna police station, officials confirmed. Among those arrested was a former police official from Chiniot, Ali, who played a central role in the scam.
