12,000 illegal foreigners deported
LAHORE:Police’s campaign for the evacuation of illegal foreign nationals is rapidly ongoing. As part of this effort, over 12,000 illegal foreign nationals, including Afghans, have been deported from across the province, including Lahore.
IG Dr Usman Anwar said that 12,438 illegal residents have been shifted to holding centres during the campaign, while 413 illegal residents are currently present at holding points. He shared that five holding centres have been established in Lahore and 46 across the province. The IG said that the policy of evacuation is being implemented in accordance with international laws and that security is on high alert. The evacuation of all illegal residents will be ensured, and human rights are being fully observed during the process.
