Former caretaker PM Kakar meets Punjab CM
Youth in Punjab are being empowered through education, IT training, internships and employment, says Kakar
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz met former caretaker PM Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar here on Tuesday.
Matters pertaining to mutual interest, national situation, maintaining law & order and provincial development projects were discussed in the meeting.
Kakar appreciated the vision of Maryam who said: “The youth in Punjab are being empowered through education, IT training, internships and employment facilities.
The health sector along with maintaining law & order is among the foremost priorities of the Punjab government.”
Kakar appreciated ongoing reforms in the health sector in Punjab. He lauded that Maryam has introduced revolutionary projects in health and education sectors in Punjab, adding that she is a living example of women empowerment in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Maryam directed ensuring effective surveillance of mineral resources in Punjab and preparing an easy and feasible plan for local and foreign investors. She chaired a meeting of the Mines and Minerals Department in which the proposal of a special economic zone for value-added products from rock salt was reviewed.
