Amjad Sabri’s murdered widely condemned

MULTAN: People from different walks of life, including politicians, lawyers and businessmen, have condemned the murder of Amjad Sabri in Karachi.
Talking to newsmen here on Thursday, Pakistan Awami Tehreek additional secretary general Khawaja Amir Farid Koreja demanded immediate arrest of the killers. He criticised the poor law and order in Karachi and demanded bold steps to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan’s financial hub Karachi. He said that the murder of Amjad Sabri had shaken the nation.
People’s Lawyers Forum south Punjab former president Habibullah Shakir expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the killing of Amjad Sabri and said that his services would be remembered for a long. He said that kidnapping of Owais Shah, the son of the Sindh High Court chief justice, a couple of days ago and the assassination of Sabri appeared to be planned by the terrorist elements and their sponsors.
Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Fareed Mughis Sheikh termed the killing of the noted Qawwal a conspiracy to disturb the law and order situation in the country. He said that Amjad Sabri was not only a stalwart in the field of Qawwali but also a kindhearted person. The National Commission for Justice and Peace office-bearers expressed grief on the assassination of renowned Qawwal Amjad Sabri. They said that Sabri’s extraordinary contribution to the art of Qawwali and Sufism had made him a national asset.
