LAHORE : Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) undertook a comprehensive cleaning operation to ensure a top level cleanliness in city on the Easter festival.

As part of special cleanliness measures, LWMC ensured the cleaning and washing of 266 churches across the city prior to Easter. Additionally, over 15,000 Christian workers, supervisors, and more than 1,500 Christian drivers and helpers received advance salaries and bonuses on Easter. The cleaning process was also completed in 79 Christian colonies, with efforts aimed at maintaining cleanliness for the community’s Easter worship services. Under the guidance of LWMC CEO Babar Sahib Din, cleaning was conducted at 66 major churches, including Sacred Heart, Cathedral, Anarkali, Don Bosco, Naulakha, and Saint Anthony's Church. Cleaning teams were also deployed at Saint Andrews, Saint Joseph, Saint Mary, Lohari Gate Church, and other significant religious sites. Zero-waste operations were carried out in areas such as Youhanabad, Begum Kot, Christian Park, Wandala Road, and Church Mohalla, ensuring that the city's Christian neighborhoods remained clean.
