GHALLANAI: One person was killed and six others seriously injured when two groups exchanged fire in the Khewazai-Babi Kore area of Mohmand district.
Police sources said the clash occurred between the rivals over laying an underground water supply pipeline. The dispute, they said, began when Liaqat and Iqbal demanded the removal of a water supply pipe that belonged to Kitab Jan and Sajid but passed underground through their agricultural land. The disagreement quickly turned violent, resulting in an exchange of gunfire.
