ISLAMABAD: Chairperson of Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDC) Zafar Masud visited the company’s head office in Islamabad on Monday, where he met Managing Director Ahmed Hayat Lak and the OGDC team to congratulate them on the successful organisation of the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2025 (PMIF25), said a press release.
During the meeting, Masud praised the efforts of the OGDC team for delivering a world-class event that effectively highlighted the country’s mineral potential to a global audience. He noted that PMIF25 had firmly positioned Pakistan as an emerging international hub for minerals and natural resources.
While acknowledging the success of PMIF25, the chairperson also discussed preparations for the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2026 (PMIF26). He stressed the importance of building on the momentum generated by this year’s event and ensuring that the next edition is even more impactful and inclusive. He called for early planning, international engagement and innovative strategies to make PMIF26 an even greater success.
Reviewing the initial groundwork for next year’s forum, the chairperson highlighted the need for PMIF26 to be more ambitious in both scope and execution. He also discussed proposals regarding the forum’s date and venue.
Organised by OGDC with support from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and the government, PMIF25 attracted over 5,000 attendees and included more than 300 national and international delegates.
