Show-cause notice issued to IO for no-show in Sahir Hassan case
A judicial magistrate (South) has issued a show-cause notice to the investigating officer in the drug case against Sahir Hassan, son of actor Sajid Hassan.
The court observed that the investigating officer did not appear despite its order and issued a show-cause notice to the IO for explanation.
The jail authorities produced Sahir Hassan before the court, which directed the additional IG Karachi to ensure the appearance of the IO in court on the next date of the hearing. The investigating officer had submitted an interim challan to the prosecution for scrutiny two days ago. The Prosecutor General’s Office has directed the IO to remove several objections to the interim charge sheet. The interim charge sheet states that there was no evidence against the actor’s manager. The court directed the prosecution to submit a report on April 16.
